Thermowood cladding has finally made it possible for people to have a home equipped with natural wood, but in a better way. Sourced in a similar way, thermowood differs because of its treatment through heat and steam to make it sturdy, evaporate any possible locked moisture, and make it insect-resistance before the installation.

If you are already aware of how it is made and have made your choice of having it in your home, especially as a cladding to enhance the décor, then you must also be aware of the effective ways to maintain it and retain its beauty and quality.

    Ways to Maintain Thermowood Cladding

While it is made to sustain most of the problems, there is still a need for thermowood cladding maintenance, which we are sharing here:

    • Proper Installation

The very first thing that ensures that thermowood cladding will retain its quality and appeal for longer years is the right installation. Also, indoor and outdoor installations have different ways to avoid missing anything and messing with it, hire a professional to get the installation job done.

    • Don’t Let the Dust Settle in

Cleaning is the universal solution for maintaining anything to everything and the same applies for thermowood cladding. The perk here is that, unlike wood, you don’t have to use a special spray to do it, and you can simply use a clean cloth to wipe the dust away and let it shine its way. To get in between the cladding, use a brush to remove the dust.

    • Don’t Use Harsh Chemicals

As there is no involvement of harsh chemicals in transforming the wood to thermowood, it is best that you don’t even use any sort of harsh chemicals to polish it on your own and even in its surroundings. To clean the surroundings as well, stick to more water-based alternatives.

Thermowood cladding will stay in the market not just for designing interiors but for diverse uses like roofing, furniture, and outdoor décor, and it is because it offers everything a natural wood does, but the quality easily surpasses the former.
